  • The Community Carbon Network is an innovative use of web 2.0 technology to support community groups. Through its website any community group can have an online presence supported by the technical expertise of the ruralnet|uk IT team. Here like minded communities can meet and share ideas. The Community Carbon network also offers services specifically for rural communities including access to its Experts Online service (a question and answer resource) in addition to training and support. My own organisation has found their expertise and approachable style an invaluable resource. To my knowledge there is no other online resource to equal its service to low carbon communities.

This approach came out of an open, co-design exercise conducted at http://www.ruralnetonline.org.uk from Jan to Apr 2008.
